Flat Stanley at Arbor Elementary School, Euclid, Ohio Four second grade classes at Arbor Elementary School in Euclid, Ohio listened to the novel Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. Then each student colored a Stanley and took this flat character home for the Thanksgiving break with a journal to write about their adventures on the days off school, Nov. 23-27, 2016. When the students returned to school, they shared their journals.
Next, a retired teacher volunteering at Arbor, shared information about Geocaching. She also created a Flat Stanley for each class, using a 3D printer, and attached an official geocaching travelbug tracking number to each of these Stanleys. The classes will be watching the geocaching website to compare the miles traveled and places visited by each of the Flat Stanley travel bugs. Math, reading, and learning activities will be part of watching the travels of each 3D travel bug Stanley. Click on the green hyperlink below each Stanley to see where he has traveled on his geocaching quest around the USA and world. Some caching hosts will be posting pictures and sharing stories of his adventures. |

Data last updated on 7-10-19: Sadly, all of these travel bugs seem to have stopped moving. Where they may be is unknown. Hopefully some cacher will start them moving again. We can only wait and hope!
